Industrial, pharmaceutical, and laboratory operations rely on containers that ensure safe handling, compliant disposal, and long-term containment of hazardous or sensitive residues.
The THIELMANN Open-Head Drum for Chemical or Pharmaceutical Residues is purpose-built for exactly these environments. This precision-engineered drum provides secure access, flexible sealing configurations, and certified protection for solid, deteriorated residues, and liquid waste, when welded shut.
KEY FEATURES
Its open-head design provides exceptional accessibility, ideal for either placing filled residue containers inside or for transferring deteriorated substances directly into the drum. Operators can close the drum mechanically with a clamp band and a threaded bolt fitted with EPDM or VITON gaskets, or weld it shut in-house to achieve an airtight, tamper-proof seal suitable even for liquid or highly sensitive waste.

CHEMICAL & INDUSTRIAL RESIDUES
Safe containment of hazardous residues, sludges, contaminated packaging, and process by-products, supported by corrosion-resistant stainless steel and UN-certified construction.
PHARMACEUTICAL WASTE MANAGEMENT
Designed for solvents, intermediates, formulations, and laboratory waste, providing secure handling across controlled environments and hygiene-sensitive workflows.
NUCLEAR, RADIOACTIVE, OR LIQUID WASTE (WELDED)
When welded shut, the drum becomes a hermetically sealed containment unit suitable for liquid, radioactive, or nuclear material, offering full isolation and long-term protection.
THIELMANN experts can support the selection of the right drum configuration, including material grade, gasket type, closure options, and welded-seal requirements for regulated waste streams.
